Terms of Service

The terms that apply to surveys, quotations and work carried out by Eco Spray Foam Insulation, and to the use of this website.

These terms cover the use of this website and the work we carry out. Where we’ve agreed something different with you in writing, that agreement takes precedence.

Who we are

Eco Spray Foam Insulation, Unit 9, Admiral’s Yard, Low Road, Hunslet, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS10 1AE. You can reach us on 0113 365 1084 or at info@leedsloftinsulation.uk.

Using this website

The information on this site is provided in good faith and for general guidance. Insulation and spray foam removal decisions depend on the specific property — its construction, ventilation, timber condition and the type of foam involved — so nothing here is a substitute for a survey of your own property. Don’t rely on general information on this site as advice for your particular situation.

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Surveys and quotations

Surveys are free and carry no obligation. We’ll come out, assess the property, and tell you what we find. You’re under no obligation to book work afterwards.

Quotes are based on what we could see. We quote on the basis of what the survey reveals. Lofts and roof spaces sometimes hide problems that only become visible once work starts — rot under foam, failed ventilation, timber that needs replacing. If we find something that materially changes the scope or cost, we’ll stop, tell you, and agree the change with you before continuing. We won’t carry out extra chargeable work without your agreement.

Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. Prices can change after that, largely because material costs do.

Booking work and your right to cancel

A contract is formed when you accept our quotation and we confirm the booking.

Because we usually agree work at your home or at a distance rather than at our premises, you normally have the right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract, without giving a reason.

If you ask us to start work within that 14-day period and then cancel, we may charge you for what we’ve already done. If the work is fully completed within the 14 days at your request, the right to cancel is lost. To cancel, just tell us in writing — email is fine.

This does not affect your other legal rights.

Carrying out the work

We’ll agree a date with you and arrive when we say we will, or tell you promptly if something changes. We’ll need reasonable access to the loft, roof space or working area, and we’ll ask you to clear stored belongings from the area beforehand unless we’ve agreed otherwise.

We protect the working area and remove waste in line with waste regulations. Removal work is dusty by nature; we contain it as far as is practical, but some disruption is unavoidable.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in your quotation. Where a deposit is required, that will be stated in the quotation before you commit to anything.

Guarantees

Installation work is covered by our 25-year guarantee, and we fit BBA-approved products. The guarantee covers the materials and workmanship of the installation we carried out. It does not cover damage caused by something else — structural movement, storm damage, water ingress from an unrelated defect, or alterations made by someone else afterwards.

Where we remove spray foam, we provide a completion certificate recording what was removed and the condition of the timbers underneath.

On mortgages and surveys: we can document what we found and what we did, accurately and in writing. We cannot control or promise how a particular lender, surveyor or valuer will respond to that documentation — those decisions sit with them. Please don’t treat any timescale or outcome we discuss as a guarantee of a lending decision.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to have services carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Liability

We carry insurance appropriate to the work we do. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your statutory rights.

If something goes wrong

Tell us. Call or email using the details above and we’ll look into it. Most problems are quickest to resolve directly, and we’d rather hear about it than not.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your job is the one in force when you accepted your quotation.
